In some cases, heavy loads may require the use of a face lift or scissor lifts. Face lifts are used when there is no angle for the operator to control the load. Scissor lifts are used when the distance between the platform and the ladder is less than 45 degrees. Both these types of hazards are relatively rare and it is very unlikely that you would come across any of them in your day-to-day work. However, if you are not careful enough, you may meet one or more of these hazards during your career.
